Flat embroidery is when the thread lays
flat on the garment. There are no special
tricks or effects with this method. The
stitching goes through just the one layer
of the garment. This is the fastest
version of embroidery and offers a more traditional look.
3D puff embroidery is when you create a
raised effect for the entire design. This is
achieved by applying foam down before
the stitching run is started. Essentially
the stitching covers the foam until its no
longer visible and the excess is removed revealing a clean crisp raised design.
